Keep SESSIONS LA Alive!
Help Keep SESSIONS LA Alive!
Why Do We Need Your Help?
Within the last year, we’ve relocated to the Pilipino Workers Center (PWC), a non-profit community organization also located in Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles. During this transition, the majority of our music production equipment and computer technology had to be left behind. In addition, our remaining equipment is in dire need of repairs and upgrades. Without these basic needs, we are unable to continue programming.
Sessions currently still active at two satellite sites: after school at Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools in Koreatown, and at Inner-City Arts located in Skid Row. However, our goal is to re-launch programming at our new home, PWC.
All funds donated will cover basic equipment costs in order to resume this much-needed service to the youth of Los Angeles, while we continuously work to obtain find long-term funding. All of the planning in the past few months has been entirely on a volunteer basis, as will the immediate future programming, which is a testament to the instructors’ and teaching assistants’ dedication and commitment to this program.
Since our relocation, there has been a void for many of us, as Sessions is and has been a community and family for many students and instructors over the years. With your help, we can keep this program that is much needed in the community alive and running for future generations of students and musicians. Thank you for your consideration & support!
